Thank you for a wonderful holiday! We loved Leisure Bay, such a beautiful, peaceful island. Russel’s house had everything you could wish for. All 10 of us were very comfortably accommodated with plenty to do in the area as well as at the house. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Amazing location very close to Bollard Beach and Steenbok Nature reserve, all within walking distance. 360 degree views of the scenery from the top floor veranda - including the Knysna heads. Great that we could take the entire family - including the dogs. There is ample space for everyone. Each room has an on suite bathroom. When the weather doesn't play along there are lots to do at the house to keep everyone entertained (pool table, wood fired hot tub, etc.). Russel and his appointed agents are very responsive to queries. Would highly recommend Heron House.

Heron House is beautiful and had everything we needed. It is a one minute walk from the beach and nature reserve. The swimming pool is as fantastic for hot windy days when you don’t want to go to the beach. Our host was very responsive to any queries we had. Leisure isle is very safe and has some lovely restaurants. I would highly recommend a stay here!

Impossible to convey in 1000 characters how special Russel & Orit’s place is. It is everything as described and more. There is absolutely nothing you long for during your stay. The location is unsurpassed on the majestic Leisure Isle, with its abundance of natural beauty. It was so incredibly tranquil & it felt like the safest place in SA with no electrified fencing anywhere to be seen. The house itself had every possible convenience & luxury catered for. We got tremendous use out of the fireplace, wood-fired jacuzzi, hammock, coffee machine, etc not to mention the top floor veranda with its incredible panoramic vistas of the Heads & surrounds, where I enjoyed a ritualistic coffee every morning - it was heaven. You can tell it’s a home that’s lived in, loved & cherished by Russel & fam. Bollards beach is a mere 3 minute walk and it enjoys breathtaking views of the Knysna Heads, has a white sandy beach, & makes for a wonderful swim in the lagoon. We really did not want to leave.

We booked this home as a special trip for our family from the US to meet up with cousins and friends in SA. We have spent many holidays on Leisure Island and we’re looking for a place where we could walk to Bollard Bay easily with small kids, had enough space so we weren’t on top of one another and included space where we could all eat together. This home knocked it out of the park! We loved the hot tub and pizza oven, each person had their own bathroom, there was ample space for parking and meals at the large table were perfect. The home had a battery setup where we didn’t feel the effects of load shedding too. We would stay here again any day!!! Highly recommend!!!
