Stix and Stones Hilltop Cabin is a very private cabin on a beautiful, large 8.5 acre lot, nestled in the secluded woods of a small gated community. This little slice of heaven rustic log cabin is perched on a beautifully landscaped hilltop overlooking its grassy valley. Enjoy chilling out, swimming, fishing, or just listening to the rushing water of Stover Creek that runs through the property. Enjoy privacy all year long with no neighbors in view and a fenced area for your dogs. There are 2 bolder fire pits, eating on the grounds areas, covered parking area for recreation vehicles, fenced pet area, and even an area for horse trailers. Three full bedrooms provide sleeping for up to six adults. Two Queen beds upstairs and one twin with a twin pull out. Two full baths, washer and dryer offered for guest cleaning. The kitchen is well equipped including refrigerator, microwave, electric stove and oven. There is a Smart TV, Hulu, Prime Video, DVD player, DSL, and WIFI, Has central heat and air. You can relax in a rocking chair in winter in front of a real wood burning stove. Firewood is provided. This heavenly get-a-way is in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area of the Chattahoochee National Forrest, only an hour and a half from Atlanta. The surrounding area beckons with fun an adventure, spring, summer, winter, and fall. Hiking is plentiful: the Benton MacKaye and Appalachian Trail heads are about 12 miles away on Springer Mt. Aska and other trails lead to beautiful waterfalls, swinging bridge, and fabulous mountain views. Fishing opportunities are plentiful on stocked and natural streams. The kayaking and tubing on the Cartecay and Toccoa rivers are close by, offering inexpensive shuttles. More challenging whitewater rafting is a short drive, as well. We also have mountain bike trails and horseback riding that is convenient Our quaint little town of Ellijay is about 15 miles away, and is filled with antique shops, art galleries, boutiques, and eateries. Ellijay is host to the yearly October Apple Festival, but many orchards are open year round with tours. Hayrides, putt-putt golf, and petting zoo are offered to the children. Summit Wedding Farm is also just minutes away. The historic city of Blue Ridge is about 25 miles away from cabin. You can board an old fashioned train for an excursion along the Toccoa River and also enjoy the shopping, bars, and restaurants. You are welcomed with southern hospitality and charm. Simply driving the winding roads of Northwest Ga. mountains is absolutely breathtaking. The people are charming and have a few stories to share.
