Such a cute place in the middle of a winter wonderland! Host was so helpful with our questions and showed up to help us very quickly when we needed something. Great experience!

Cheri's place is great for a large group. 20 min away from downtown Bishop and around 10 min away from Buttermilk road to the Buttermilk Boulders. Lots of room and beds were comfortable. Large couch and dining area. Lots of sauces, spices, coffee, etc. in the kitchen. New induction stove and a bbq on the patio. It can get cold in Aspendell in the winter but the house gets nice and toasty once you have a fire going in the living room wood stove. Cheri was very responsive whenever we had questions or needed help and even stopped by to drop off firewood and help us use the snowblower.

Cheri was a amazing host, accommodated all our needs and brought us firewood often. her place and location where wonderful and pristine. I would go back to her place any time. thank you Cheri for opening up your home to us.

We had to leave. This house is not safely warm during Winter in current conditions. We are campers and lived in the mtns including Bishop/Mammoth. We arrived before dark knowing the cabin may be cold, it was 41F/5C INSIDE. I was told in writing there is central heat-there IS NOT. There were 3" of ash in the wood burning stove and the pressed wood rolls provided took an hour to get started & another hour to start radiating heat. There were no instructions & the host, who was responsive before checkin, was unreachable for 90mins and another 45mins, still not answering most questions. I read in other reviews she lives in the garage? Our entry was an unlocked front door with the key on the sill below 2 unlocked kitchen windows - very small town but not safe. 3 floors; bottom is living/kitchen (broken burner), middle 2 bedrooms (broken pellet stove), top large loft. Very small (~12") space heaters could never warm up the bedrooms and one had a broken leg. Unsafe. Misled. Refunded.

The location is beautiful. If you want a place in the mountains with hiking, fishing, and lakes nearby, this is it. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. The bedding was comfortable. Really quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.
