At 3,333 feet, Boone mountain summers are pleasantly warm during the day and refreshingly cool in the evenings. Fall colors are brilliant and winters bring fresh blankets of pure mountain snow that sparkle under clear blue Carolina skies. This property boasts a beautiful and private fenced backyard with outdoor dining table and fire pit (firewood available) plus a farmhouse style covered front porch with swing and rockers to take in the sweeping pastoral views. Our home offers comfort, style, serenity, and convenience with easy non-through paved road access and a gently sloping and wide gravel driveway. The cottage sleeps up to six comfortably. The master bedroom has a king bed and a full bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has two twin beds that may be moved into a king bed configuration at the request of the guest. The second and third bedroom share a hall bath with a tub/shower combo. All towels and linens are provided. The modern kitchen is fully stocked with all cookware, utensils, and dishes. We also offer a selection of complimentary teas and coffees. Please note that the Owners use the property during the weekdays (EXCEPT WHEN RENTED TO GUESTS) between mid August and early June for our children to attend a local charter school. Thus we use the main fridge during those times. There is a Guest pantry with a small fridge/freezer dedicated to Guest use. Guests are welcome to also use the large fridge and freezer (we keep a couple shelves empty for Guests who need extra space) and help yourself to condiments and ultra filtered mountain well water. Summer Guests have full use of the main fridge/freezer. We have wireless, broadband Internet through Spectrum and two Samsung SmartTVs in the common areas with Prime Video, Netflix, and other apps; you use your own accounts to log in. There is plenty of free content to watch on the SmartTVs, as well as a DVD player and family-friendly selection of DVDs in the living room. A selection of board games and books, including a North Carolina travel and local lore collection, are provided for some old-fashioned enjoyment. A family-friendly rental, we can offer a selection of toys for those Guests who request them, along with various safety gear, high chair, a pack-n-play with linens, and diaper genie. The picket-fenced backyard features a fire pit (firewood available), seating for 6 plus a dining table. A washer and dryer (plus starter detergent and dryer sheets) are included with the property. The minimum age for renters is 25, and proof of identification may be required upon contract signing. No parties, events, or unregistered guests are permitted.
