Fantastic stay over the Christmas break. The house was beautiful, and bedrooms very comfortable with lovely towels and linens. Views out of the windows stunning, unsurprisingly, as the gardens are gorgeous with the river running right through it. Fiona was very friendly, responsive and flexible about check in and very understanding about an accidental red wine spillage. The perfect host!

Fiona’s home was magical! We stayed for 10 days with our 3 kids and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Fiona was a fantastic host who went above and beyond, a true gem. Our kids played hide and seek inside and outside everyday for hours. Truly a beautiful home with everything you could need and more. Highly recommend.

This place was made for dreams! We hosted our childhood heartthrob (the Hutch half of the iconic television series, Starsky and Hutch), actor, musician, activist David Soul—and he too needed this escape from the real world as much as we did. We had an absolutely glorious stay! It ended too soon. In fact, on our last day, David said, "It's sad to be leaving here today." We all felt that way. The farm is a lovely, beautiful, peaceful, replenishing home and we are so grateful and thankful that you share it with others. We were able to walk into the countryside, as well as sit by the river and enjoy sunshine and chats. The daily visits from the swans were a nice touch! Thank you also for the Smart TV so we could work and watch from our MacBooks, and also for tuning the piano in time for David's visit: he played a short piece for us; it had been years since he'd tickled the ivories, but he was overwhelmed by the moment (and we even more so). Complaints? None; just extremely minor improvements: a small waste can in each bedroom and/or bathroom; a written summary of how to control heating—because our memories aren't as good as they used to be; and perhaps labels on the light switches? You should have seen us scampering about trying to find the right switch for the right light/lamp (we Americans aren't that intuitive!). In practical terms, we must say the mattresses were amazing, like sleeping on clouds. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils and dishes we needed. The walls were soundproof so none of us woke up the others. The water from the well (bore) was delicious. And that kitchen faucet that does everything but make coffee! Thank you, especially, for making sure a member of our party who has mobility issues had private access to a ground floor bedroom and en suite bathroom without stairs or narrow hallways, etc. It was much appreciated. Your welcome was very inviting: to meet you (and your daughter) and learn how much love you've put into the property; to have refreshments and snacks immediately available; to have the hands-on instructions for what, where, and how things worked in that very large house! And an extra special treat: to spend time with Salah, our own private driver, to take us to restaurants, shopping, neighboring towns. He is an absolute gem, so thank you for that service, too. When we learned he was also a professional chef, we asked him to make us a meal and he arrived one day with an exclusive Moroccan lunch he'd created from scratch and shared in it with us. To die for! Thank you, Fiona, for the beautiful respite we had. It will be forever memorable. And we hope to see you someday again.

Fiona is a very gracious, generous, and very attentive host! She was away in Florida when we booked last minute, and she went all out to ensure we had a fantastic stay over New Years. The surrounding area is beautiful; a real pleasure to wake up there every day.
