This was our second visit to the Bull Pen after spending a few days previously over New Year. The cottage is just as described and Virgine is a great host. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful stay with our family. We enjoyed log fires at night and the children loved running outside in the garden. Great location from which to explore Dorset. Maddison and Terry were a great help with the few queries that we had.

The bull pen is gorgeous!! Lots of space and has everything you would need! It has a big garden and then also another field next door which you can use if you want your dog to have a proper run around. We had a few problems sadly but the host responded to us quickly and had solutions. Just a heads up, bring your own travel cot (or check they have replaced the current one) as the mattress doesn’t fit their cot for some reason and it’s missing the rods which disturbed our baby’s sleep so ended up sleeping with us. We also had a problem with the EV charger attached to the bull pen as it wasn’t working but there are two others on site at the other barns that you can use. A bat also got in somehow on the last night but the host is sorting this out! The hosts were helpful and responded quickly to these issues and also gave great recommendations. We recommend going to The White Lion Inn in Bourton for a Sunday roast, it’s only a 10 min drive and it’s such a lovely pub with great food.
