Casa Piedra del Sol is a wonderful, beautiful, and private estate perfect for large families of all ages or groups of adults. Astutely maintained by the warm and helpful Rosita, Pauli, Tino, and JP, all eager to help from great local advice to cooking, adventuring, and keeping things ship-shape. Classic local architecture highlights the artistic eye of the owners and is inviting, comfortable, and ideally suited for the environment. So many unique spaces to gather together or hide and read! Great comfy gathering area under the central palapa, or out by the beach: hammocks, chairs, and various ways to kick back. Pool is perfect for cooling off. Each individual sleeping area is designed for privacy while inviting the fresh beautiful climate of Troncones to pass through. Loved sleeping to the roar of the ocean! Professional stove, kitchen, and grilling area for the chefs in the group! Not enough room to say how this home made our vacation special! Thank you Olatz and team for sharing!

This property is just amazing! It is right on the beach, spacious and peaceful, and even more beautiful than the photos show. Each bedroom is a separate walled palapa with its own bathroom. The construction is beautiful and the furnishings are simple and high-quality. There is a large, shared central living room (comfortable and cool - great place to read or play games after too much sun) and covered outdoor kitchen and bar areas. Everything is open-air except for one of the bedrooms which is enclosed and air-conditioned. All of the other rooms have large ceiling fans for a wonderful indoor/outdoor lifestyle. We went to sleep to the sound of the surf. The beds are comfortable, the showers are great, the Wifi works well. There are hammocks and lounge chairs everywhere on the property. The pool is delightful - large, sparkling clean, and surrounded by flowers. Perfect for hanging out and cooling off in the heat of the afternoon. The lush grounds are meticulously kept by the friendly staff, who were happy to help us with whatever we needed. It's hard to describe how relaxing and safe it felt here - we never had a single concern about security - or anything else. Olatz, the owner, and Jean Pascal, the property manager, were also communicative and helpful. The location is fantastic, a short walk from downtown Troncones (where we rented bicycles and surfboards and bought a few groceries) and very close to half a dozen great restaurants. Most of the restaurants are in the direction of town, but make sure to walk the other way and try Mijardin Troncones as well - fabulous food and atmosphere! Other favorites were Cafe Pacifico , Brisas en Las Rocas, and Indigo, all a 5 minute walk away. We did not rent a car - there is a taxi stand right up the street. And what a beach! It seemed just like an extension of the garden. The pelicans every evening at sunset were worth the whole trip. I would give Casa Piedra de Sol six stars if I could!! It's a gem.
