Excellent stay in this home. The photo’s don’t do it justice. Decor is cosy and homely and excellent attention to detail with the decor. Several type of tea and coffee provided and toilt paper, handwash cooking oil and clingfilm and sandwich bags were also available which was a really nice touch. Really well equipped kitchen. The location is very peaceful. If you like larger bath towels take your own as they are quite small and the hot water isn’t enough for 4 people, but other than that Everything was of the highest quality. We absolutely loved Sharon's place and couldn't fault it in any way. It is spotlessly clean and Sharon has thought of everything possible to enhance the guest experience . The decor and soft furnishings are of a very high standard and really lovely. The cottage was warm and cozy. We found the setting very tranquil and slept very comfortably. The bedlinen and pillows, again, were of a lovely quality. It was great to have an allocated parking space which was right in front of the property. Sharon was a great host and was really quick to respond. Her directions to the property were excellent and finding it would have been a little tricky without such clear instruction. Cark is a lovely little place and very close to Holker Hall which is well worth a visit. Thanks again Sharon ans we hope to return again in the future!

A lovely base to explore the Lake District. Beautifully decorated cottage, well appointed with everything you could need for a short break.

This is a great cottage, very warm and comfortable. Sharon is friendly and helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We loved the location with loads to do in the surrounding area and further into the southern Lake District. We would like to come back again in the future and would certainly recommend this place to others who want to visit this beautiful area.

Fabulous place, immaculate throughout comfortable beds, fantastic location. Host kept in touch even advised us to go a different route home as there had been a spillage on the road nearby. Will stay again for sure.
