Stayed at 30 Mount Pleasant Road with 5 friends for Bute Highland Games weekend. House is in a good location close to the town but is up a steep hill if walking. We took car over on ferry. No private parking at house but we were lucky to get parked on street outside each time we returned from going out. The house was clean and suited our needs. Beds comfortable. The only negative is that there was a musty damp smell when we walked into the house hall, coming from the lower ground level where there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. We had to buy scented candles and leave them lite on a table on lower ground floor hall when we were in house to try and eliminate the smell. The owner may have tried to fix the problem but because the lower ground floor level is below ground this may be problematic and costly with old stone flooring in hall on bottom floor. We got used to the smell but feel other guests should be made aware. It did not stop us having a great weekend

Lovely spacious property even for our large family. Lovely views great location couldn’t fault it. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay in the property. We all were reminded of the expression "the photos didn't do the house justice" - it was really lovely. There was heaps of space and lots of comfort. The standard of cleanliness was high and bedding and towels were of good quality. The location - a pleasant stroll from the centre of town - was on a nice street and was a really good base for exploring Rothesay and further afield. We have no hesitation in recommending the property to other visitors. Thank you, Patricia!

The house is bigger than it appears in the photos. The house is beautiful and we really enjoy the back yard. Rothesay is a very cute town. The only critique is that we had only 2 toilet paper rolls, no dish soap, sponge and not enough dishwasher soap. Otherwise, we recommend this house anytime.
