Our stay at Fairy Meadows was outstanding!! Sonya, the property manager, could not have been more helpful! She responded immediately to all our questions and queries, before we arrived, and then was always available if we needed anything. Sonya helped with transport and even went out of her way to check my Sri Lankan visa before I was there! I gave my daughter a 'surprise' birthday party. Sonya coordinated a gorgeous brunch and found a delicious cake. The property is divine. It is like being transported back to the colonial era. The rooms are huge and comfortable. The outdoor pool area, with plentiful seating, a large table and bar area, was used by us constantly. Thiresh, and all the staff, were friendly and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. My family are spread all over the world so to catch up in a place that was big enough for us all, and be so comfortable, was highly appreciated. Thankyou everyone, I will continue to recommend your gorgeous property!

Villa is huge & love the historical aspect of the property. The villa though is in need of a huge deep clean, it feels grimy & the kitchen needs a huge amount of attention in terms of decluttering and deep cleaning. Several of the hobs don’t work & the oven is also not usable. We also turned up & were told the washing machine is not useable the alternative was the local dry cleaners which we were also told was not reliable in terms of clothing coming back and not being shrunken. They have lovely staff on the premises but for the price we paid for the accommodation per night, the quality of the food should have been higher - even the local cuisine was not high quality & we regularly eat Sri Lankan both in Sri Lanka & in our home country. The security guard also wasn’t around the front gate & my husband was left outside with our driver for some time (whilst the guard played on his phone at the back of the kitchen). The house needs major attention as it is tired and very unclean.

The photos don’t do the house justice, it is luxurious and huge. The pool and bar area is sublime and the views of the mountains spectacular! The staff are incredible, Thiresh and Viraj treated us like family, we were very sad to leave them. The cooks are so warm and friendly and made us delicious meals, juices and even catered for my son who won’t eat spices at all. Sonja our host is such a joy to deal with, she was there to greet us and helped us settle in. She is very responsive and helpful. Thank you to all the staff at Fairy Meadows for their kindness and Sri Lankan hospitality!
