The Colonia of Santa Gertrudis Copo is organized around what it was the old Henequen Hacienda that gave the name of the community. These estates were established almost immediately after the conquest and during the seventeenth century. The regions of Yucatan where first corn farms and then, the Henequen plantations were established. Everything was adjoin and close to Mérida city. The main roads were call the "royal roads" between Campeche and Merida.

But Progreso it is not only close to, more or less at the same distance is Chicxulub Puerto, another of the Beaches of Yucatan that is favorite to visit in any season of the year. The house has its own garage for two medium-sized vehicles and next to the playground you can park a vehicle no larger than a pick up (mobile home, trailers or trucks are not allowed inside the condominium), if you do not have your own or rented vehicle you can request through a taxi application such as Uber or DiDi to take it to the destination of your preference or instead there is Urban transport (not recommended because these are not very comfortable) this type of transport can be taken about 50 meters from the private which makes a tour of the Merida Downtown.
