We loved our stay! Diego’s place was the peaceful haven we needed as we explored the Sacred Valley. It’s tucked away in a quiet part of Cusco yet close enough to walk or take a quick cab to the main area with restaurants and shops. Someone met us upon our arrival to give a tour and help us make coca tea to adjust to the altitude. She was really nurturing and made sure we understood to eat lightly and relax the first day there. We appreciated that so much, as well as Diego and his cousin’s recommendations and responsiveness throughout our time there! Something to note: the main floor was a bit chilly while we were there (mid April). There is one small space heater so we used it in the main floor/downstairs bedroom.

¡Una estancia excepcional en Cuzco gracias a Diego y su acogedor lugar! Desde el primer momento, nos sentimos como en casa gracias a su atención impecable y las increíbles recomendaciones que nos brindó. El ambiente del lugar era perfecto y tanto Diego como Elva se aseguraron de que nuestra estancia fuera cómoda y segura. ¡Altamente recomendado para aquellos que buscan una experiencia auténtica en Cuzco!

We enjoyed our stay at Diego’s. The space is larger than it looks in the photos and nicely decorated. It can get a bit chilly but there’s an electric radiator. The terrace is lovely and handy to dry washing. It is a bit of a walk to the historic centre and doesn’t feel the most safe at night, I wouldn’t want to do it alone. But a great place to relax and would be good for a longer stay.

This apartment is a wonderful gem in Cusco and perhaps a perfect base for exploration. Stayed for 2 weeks and it felt more like a full home than your usual Airbnb apartment. The tasteful partitions and created spaces is exceptional for remote working, cooking, eating, and lounging around. All listed amenities were available in the apartment and the beds were very comfortable. It rained a lot during my stay so didn't get to use the upstairs patio area, however it's a beautiful space - say Hi to the cat neighbour who sunbathes on the roof next door! We had a few minor issues (WiFi, hot water, etc) along the stay but Diego was very communicative and had these resolved promptly - Thanks!. From this apartment, there are several restaurants, shops, pharmacies, groceries, and a variety of markets a few minutes walk away. Centro is about 5 mins by bus which pass on the main street very often. The apartment is conveniently located and in a very peaceful neighbourhood. Highly recommended!

Diego’s home is very well equipped for a longer stay. The house is spacious and comfortable with a bedroom and sitting area on both floors. The upstairs has wonderful light with several French style doors that can be opened to let the air flow through. The rooftop terrace is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a drink and the sunshine! WiFi worked well throughout the house and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. Communication with Diego and Israel was great and they were very responsive to any requests and questions. The location is a relatively easy walk to the central(tourist) area, which gets you a quieter and safe local neighborhood. There are several markets, restaurants, and bakeries nearby. We greatly enjoyed our stay and recommend it.
