Great location to explore Oakland. Super walkable to Temescal and Piedmont neighborhoods, 10-15min in every direction to great restaurants, grocery stores, and Bart. 30min walk to Lake Merritt. The unit is as described and private with great amenities. Host was helpful and provided extras upon request. Neighborhood is mellow and diverse. Good value, felt safe.

This is a great Airbnb with excellent amenities. It's super clean, in the back part of the building so it's pretty quiet and peaceful. The location is great for enjoying all of the restaurants/cafes in the Temescal area, and it's close to MacArthur Bart Station.

We arrived at midnight and it was 44 degrees outside and felt just as cold inside. The wall heater was not. Turned on and we couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. We found two small space heaters in the closest and an extra blanket. We were miserable till about 4am. Carlos and his crew very responsive the next day. Gave us an additional space heaters and checked on us constantly. Very quiet neighborhood and felt safe. Easy walking to great restaurants and BART.

It was freezing when we arrived at night . There was no thermostat so we could not warm the place and no extra blankets so the first night was not pleasant. We contacted Carlos and he said he would have maintenance look at it the next day. He did nothing to help us that night. I heard nothing the next day from Carlos until I called him. He then had a maintenance guy buy a space heater which warmed the bedroom at night . If we went into another room we had to bring the heater with us. He said a thermostat would be installed but it was not done during our stay. I would not recommend staying there during the cold months unless a thermostat is installed to heat the apartment.
