Anchorage Motel is at the southern end of Marsden Road which runs along the Taiputuputu Pahi beachfront and is a 10 minute walk to Paihia Wharf and foot ferries.
Simply cross the road in front of the Motel to access Taiputuputu Pahi, a safe and clean swimming beach where you can swim out to the community pontoon for an afternoon perfecting your manu technique or just take a moment lie in the sun.
Get yourself a kayak from Bay Beach Hire to paddle out to Motuarahi or a bike to ride out past Te Tiriti Marae where you can see the magnificent Pou on Tou Rangatira.
From just outside the motel as the tide goes down you can access the coastal path and wander around to Sullivan's Beach and on to Te Haumi.
For the extra adventurous Barefoot Sailing will pick you up off the beach and take you out to explore Motuarohia or one of the other islands out to sea.
Walk around the block to some of our favourite bars and restaurants including Tipsy Oyster, Thirty30 and El Cafe or along the beach to JFC or Rays on the Bay.
