Absolutely stunning location at Tapeka Point, with lovey beach views at the end of the road. Short, easy walk to both the rocky and sandy beaches as well the Tapeka Point track. Peaceful location in a quiet neighborhood, where birdsong (including kiwi) filled the house. The house itself was more like a bach with just the essential furnishings. The kitchen had has essentials but no baking dishes, etc. The house could use a deep clean, especially the bathrooms and kitchen. There were large stains on the floors in two rooms. The TV was not useable due to lack of remote (which wasn’t an issue for us, but is an advertised amenity and was mentioned as missing in another review from back in October). The property managers were kind and responded quickly when our request for additional linens was made.

The location is great, tucked in a quiet area between two beaches. The description didn’t quite match the place though, the “elegant and well-furnished” bedrooms, two of the bedrooms had a double bed in them, nothing else The other two rooms had beds and bedside tables, nothing else. There was no rubbish bin. There was no remote for the TV so we missed the World Cup game. There was no password for the Wifi. The BBQ was shut in the garage. One of the downstairs bedrooms didn’t have curtains on all the windows, so no sleeping in here. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the location was really good, but there is plenty of room for improvement though.
