We had such a lovely month in Kersten's bungalow. It had good space for working from home, and with airconditioning working conditions were comfortable. Travelling with a kid of 12 years, I appreciated that he could safely go outside on his own and play in the street. The community is gated with kind and welcoming neighbours. The beach at the end of the short road is so beautiful and perfect for wading. We went there everyday to just refresh and enjoy the waves and the view all the way to Honolulu. To have breakfast at the beach was a great way to start the day. Kersten is such a sweet and caring host - thank you so much for making our stay in Hawaii so smooth and so memorable!

What a wonderful stay! I am so happy we stayed at Kersten’s wonderful bungalow. We spent a month here and had absolutely a wonderful time. Local, away from tourists, and with a breathtaking private beach 🏖 right next to where you stay. This is my 2nd time to Hawaii and I was looking for more serene and more secluded stay, and Kersten’s place was perfect. The area is very residential yet very convenient(a bunch of grocery stores nearby) It was a gated neighborhood so felt extra safe. And the view! When the gate opened the first thing you notice will be that undisrupted and inviting blue at the end. This is just something truly precious for a Hawaiian 🌺 vacation. I watched sunrise and sunset everyday, listening to waves to sleep and wake up, working by the beach side, and it truly felt like a blessing at this place. Having a private beach made the entire stay magical. The neighbors are local and super friendly. You felt very invited and included as part of the community (one of them also picked up my amazon package for me!). On weekends, there are local parties on the lawn (nothing noisy into the night dont worry), we saw bday celebration and baby gender reveal party during the stay, these just added just a nice warm community touch to our stay too. The bungalow itself was really cute too, we have everything we needed and everything felt really comfortable. Kersten is a wonderful host. During our stay one night somehow the keypad lock stopped working and we were essentially locked out. I messaged Kersten and she promptly replied and helped me find the alternative key. We were also happy to meet her and her family in person during our stay, and they are wonderful people. The only thing is Ewa beach is 40min -1hr drive to Wakiki and North Shore, so if you plan to go to activities in those areas often you prob want to check our traffic more. This was a small tradeoff to us. Overall, it’s a 10/10 stay and I will certainly go back! If you are like us looking to be away from the crowd and experience truly local life style, look no further.

Host greeted us upon arrival and Kersten is so sweet! The host(s) are super responsive and quick to help with any questions. The bungalow was just as described. Very cute and well decorated and the space was perfectly maximized. Comfortable for a family of 4. There is AC in the living room and fans in all the rooms. We have the windows open up during the day. The roosters are up early, which I don’t mind since I am an early bird. You are not in Waikiki. LOL! The beach is not swimmable due to all the rocks, so we drove up to the north shore quite a bit. But hanging out there on the private beach in the morning and afternoon is so good for the soul. The neighbors are very welcoming and nice. It was sad leaving for sure.

Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Having the grassy area and beach on property was a plus. Although it was not swimmable. The gated compound was a nice safety feature. The cottage/bungalow was very comfortable and roomy for 2 people. Everyone we encountered there were friendly and showed much Aloha.

If you want a secluded and cozy place to relax, just steps away from the beach - this is IT! Just enough space for our group of five to spend a couple days to wind down after a long work week in busy Waikiki. Well stocked kitchen and very clean spaces. Very communicative and responsible hosts. The best part is being able to put on sandals, and relaxing by the beach at night or waking up to the sunrise so easily!!
