Shannon's place was great for our family holiday, she provided clear instructions for arrival and check in, and was very helpful during our stay. The place is very comfortable, rooms are just as described, the kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you might need. There are also plenty of board games for the family to enjoy and she had the place beautifully decorated for Christmas. The only caveat, which isn't mentioned in the listing is that there is no garbage pick up in winter, so she asked us to take our trash with us when leaving. After a 4 night stay for 14 people, with most of them from out of town, we definitely did not have space to take the trash in our cars - she suggested a couple disposal places about a 30min drive, but they were closed for the holidays, so we asked her to dispose the trash for us, which she charged us an additional $200 fee for (on top of the cleaning fees), we felt this was our only option, so be mindful if planning a winter stay

Our stay in this cottage was wonderful in so many ways. We were 10 people--2 families with children aged 8-18 and 2 grandparents. The cottage is indeed newly built, delightfully designed, furnished & decorated for small groups like ours. The common spaces are full of light & views of the lake, airy (ceiling fans, screen doors). The kitchen, dining area and walkout deck were just a joy to cook and gather in. The amazing location on the lake is hard to capture in pictures. Skeleton Lake is one of the cleanest in Muskoka, not too small / large, and this cottage is located on a high ridge over looking it, in a quiet small bay sheltered from the main part of the lake by an island. Given the large dock, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing were enjoyed endlessly by all of us. We brought a canoe and a SUPB, it was easy to get them down to the water (zigzag crushed stone path). Wonderful host with great communication & instructions. Bracebridge is less than 30m away.

This cottage is stunning. We are grateful to have experienced Shannon’s place for our family getaway. Fully stocked kitchen, incredible views of the lake, beautiful finishes throughout and an amazing dock for all the activities. Hope to be back next summer!

Most beautiful cottage I have stayed at. We were a group of 15. Place was enough to accommodate all of us easily. fantastic views. A little difficult to find,make sure you follow instructions given by host. All amenities were provided as advertised. Lots of things to do inside on rainy days

Shannon and Jennifer were exceptional hosts. The house was large enough to comfortably accommodate our large group of eleven. Amazing views, extremely well furnished, and thoughtfully equipped. We had an amazing week with our three families, ages 8-80. Highlights included making smores around the fire, swimming and fishing off the dock, tubing around the lake, playing board games, and cooking together in the large and open kitchen. We would stay again.
