This historic home is perfectly situated along the water with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed that nowhere in the listing was there mention of a freight train close to the house. The train runs consistently throughout the day and night and blasts the horn at all hours making it difficult to sleep. I know this is no fault of the owners or a problem with the home, but I wish that it had been mentioned in the description so we could have made other arrangements. The house itself had everything we needed. The view was beautiful and great for watching wildlife. The home is older, and while it felt clean, it could certainly use a deep clean. It felt more like someone’s home than a rental. Property is managed by an outside company so we needed to communicate with the owner by text instead of Airbnb chat. They were kind enough to allow a late checkout. Would recommend to anyone looking for a stay with a beautiful view, just take the train into account.

We chose this home because of the water view, and it did not disappoint! It was a perfect place for our girls weekend. It was restful and memorizing to sit in the living room talking, laughing, enjoying a cocktail while watching the weather change and the sun setting. This home is spacious, comfortable, and loved by it's owner(s). The beds are comfortable and the linens and towels are spectacular. We all had our own rooms and plenty of space to spread out. Of all the Air BnB homes we've rented thru the years, this home had the best equipped kitchen! We cooked a number of dinners and everything we needed was there. Thanks so much for a memorable stay.

We loved the charm and nostalgia of the home. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The green house, sunroom and decks, were appreciated by all. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

We loved our holiday stay at Jane’s beach home! The home was festively decorated for the season. The view is stunning and there are plentiful outdoor areas on the property to enjoy the view and the wildlife. We saw a variety of birds during our stay. Sea lions swam by very close to the shore every day and we heard them barking a couple of times. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linens are nice as well. There are plenty of seating areas in the home, most of which have a view. Our adult daughter enjoyed spending time in the office that overlooks the water. If you are on a working vacation, I can’t think of a better place to “work.” Jane sent a welcome message to us and was super responsive, friendly and helpful when we reached out with a couple of questions. We plan to return. It would be great to visit in the summer months to fully enjoy the outdoor spaces.
