The space was perfect for us. Parking was a little tight when we got there but we were able to park. We did not have any trou le Parking the rest of the time. The space was cozy and laid out well for us with grandparents and our kids.

I strongly recommend that you do not stay at Pelicans Nest/Pelicans Perch at the Bayhouse Bungalows. Upon arriving in the late evening (after hauling boats from Louisiana and depositing them at the FYC), wefirst discovered a strong odor of air freshner throughout the unit. So much so that he had to remove the plug-ins. Then, at bedtime, it was discovered that the split A/C unit above the master bed was leaking water onto the bed. The pillows were wet; and as a result, we had to pull the bed away from the wall and put towels down to capture the leakage. Water was still occasionally spitting out during the night. On Friday evening, I notified the house manager and she said she could come over and assess the situation. At that point, I said no because our four children were sleeping and it was 10 pm at night. Moreover, the problem could not have been fixed at that late hour. The next day the house manager informed me that she was going over with new linens and an A/C repair person. When I arrived Saturday evening, the problem had in fact been fixed; and I thanked her. On Sunday, I inquired with her about a partial refund for Friday night, as a courtesy, given that it was very uncomfortable during the night. Instead of taking the opportunity to apologize for the situation, the house manager instead took a hostile and unapologetic tone. It was quite rude under the circumstances. We will never stay at the Bayhouse again when we come for events at the FYC. Not only because of the A/C situation and the lack of any courtesy whatsoever, but also because the space had a moldy smell when we removed the air fresheners and the floors were buckled, meaning there was significant water intrusion in the unit that has not been removed.

This is a great place for a family with young kids. We rented both the bottom and top unit and had plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen makes it easy to make simple meals for kids and there's great restaurants for takeout. The location is great and walking distance to a beautiful park and public beach. We've stayed at this same rental twice about 8 months apart. There seems to be some wear on the unit, specifically the flooring and it could use a deeper clean on a regular basis and then but overall it was mostly comfortable.
