Aurora House is at the heart of Reykjavik's bustling downtown, near the intersection of Laugavegur and Klapparstígur. For a proper Reykjavik city visit, there is no better residence to explore Iceland’s vibrant capital. HomePod, Apple Music & Spotify Aurora House Clients can access Apple Music and Spotify Premium and stream music or podcasts at no extra charge. An iPod and Apple TV can be found in the living room to access this content. The home is equipped with an Apple Home Pod so that you can stream your own music libraries; or simply ask Siri to play anything you would like to hear. Samsung users can also connect via the Samsung TV to play their music. The default Aurora House account found on the iPod and Apple TV includes a paid Apple Music and Premium Spotify. TV A Samsung 75” TV in the living room and a 42” wall mounted TV can be found in the master bedroom. Both TVs are equipped with an Apple TV. Clients may log in with their credentials and access their content. The default Aurora House account on the Apple TV’s includes a paid Netflix account with all the available regional content. WiFi High speed internet can be access throughout the Aurora House. Secure passwords can be found on your check in information upon arrival. Charging The Aurora House is well equipped for convenient in wall charging. We do supply a small inventory of charging cables for Apple devices for our Client use at Aurora House. Please remember to leave these chargers behind so that we may offer them to you and other Clients for your future visits. Micro USB and other adapters can be found for Samsung users and other devices. Efficient & Environmental Friendly Heating Aurora House is equipped with radiant heating located in each room with manual adjustment to suit each persons comfort level. Heat is provided by geothermal energy and is 100% renewable. We are custodians of the environment in Iceland and want our Clients to be comfortable. Cooling If it gets too warm open a window or the balcony door and turn down the heaters. You will find that the windows open slightly and the balcony door is very heavy. The winds in Iceland are fierce and quality construction is needed to withstand the cool fresh Arctic breeze. Smart Blinds The living room balcony and door are equipped with smart blinds. Clients can either use the white square remote or the iPod to control them. Wash & Dryer The main bathroom is equipped with a built in washer and dryer so you can feel fresh and stay clean on your journey. The washer & dryer have many settings to accommodate every type of wardrobe and accessory. Refer to the drawers below them for the manuals and detergent. It may be necessary for our Clients to empty the water container on the dryer depending on their usage. This is located on the left of the unit. It pulls out when the bathroom door is closed and can be emptied easily.

Great place, great location.
This place was perfect for our family of four. It had a clean, modern aesthetic, ample space for us and our two kids to hang out, comfortable beds and sofa, and a contemporary kitchen. There were lots of cords to charge our devices, and the TVs had Netflix and other streaming services. The location was fantastic, next door to numerous restaurants and shops. It was quiet during the week in April we stayed, and there was no issue with noise from the Irish pub. It’s located directly across the Canopy Hotel, which we had considered, but we’re so happy that we chose Stefan’s place instead. I really appreciated Stefan’s flexibility with our check-in. We had reserved the apartment starting on Saturday but our flight was to arrive very early Sunday. We scheduled for Stefan’s partner to meet us at 8:00 am Sunday, and check-in went seamlessly. Our family highly recommends Stefan’s apartment. It’s much roomier than a hotel, but it actually feels like you’re staying in a hip hotel.
The apartment is right in the heart of the city. It’s modern, equipped with beautiful and functional furniture and quality appliances. Kitchen table is large, made of solid timber and made for a great gathering place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Beautiful home in a fantastic location! Right in the heart of everything. We were a group of four friends traveling around Iceland and this was a perfect location for us to stay for a day and night out in Reykjavik. Would definitely visit again!
We had a fantastic stay in Reykjavik. The apartment was great, in the center of town. But that also meant that there was noise from the street especially the bar across; bring ear plugs. It was super convenient for booking tours, going to eat, etc.

Explore custom jewelry shops, curated vinyl stores, and an eclectic assortment of restaurants. We recommend starting your mornings with a stop by Sandholt for a pastry.
Hallgrimskirka, Sun Voyager, and Harpa Concert Hall are all within walking distance. While you can utilize Aurora House as a base camp to explore greater Iceland, your trip will feel complete even if you remain in Reykjavik, with the whole city right at your doorstep.
Parking in downtown Reykjavík is easy. You can park anywhere and pay at the parking machine that corresponds to the area. You can also download the app that is available and do everything from you phone. We recommend this for anyone with a rental car for more than a few days to make things easier for you. Parking in section 1 is more expensive than in section 3. We are situated in an area where you can park close right out front (section1) or a couple blocks away and save on parking.
