We know Grasmere well and had stayed at hotels and B&Bs here before, so were delighted to find such an interesting house so close to the centre. We were there over Christmas and there were even lovely Christmas decorations! It rained every day… but this was a great place to which we could retreat from the weather! We got through a bag of logs each day enjoying the open fire, and particularly appreciated the radiator in the porch, which meant our coats and boots were warm and dry whenever we put them on. The fact that one bedroom and the shower were downstairs was key for us, since one member of our group was too elderly to manage stairs easily. Great shower, too! It’s hard to find anything negative to say at all. I suppose we did find the double bed rather small: a natural constraint of the upstairs room. But we greatly enjoyed our stay and might very well come back if we can!

This cottage was beautiful and so perfect for our long weekend away. It had everything we could possibly need and was in such a beautiful location!

We had a lovely few days here. It was so lovely; comfortable and cozy when the weather closed in but also very close to Grasmere to go for walks when the sun came out. It had everything our party of four required if we wanted to cook in. Thanks so much. We hope to return.

Great place to stay, photos didnt do it justice, location short walk to pubs and restaurants (Jumble room the best) ideal for short walk to lake Grasmere for a swim, just a great base to see the lakes. Michelle was there when needed, no complaints - loved it.
