Located on the shores of Lake Atitlan our boutique hotel features a plunge pool, jacuzzi, rooftop lounge, daybeds, restaurant, game room and free parking. El Dragon Hotel offers a peaceful setting spread over a beautiful lakeside garden landscape, centrally located (5 minute walk to town) in San Marcos La Laguna. Surrounded by lush gardens and directly lakeside, El Dragon Hotel has magnificent views of Lake Atitlan and its volcanoes. The rooms feature free WiFi and TV. All with private modern bathrooms and hot water. Some of the rooms have balcony with either lake or mountain views. There are many areas to relax, either in the garden, rooftop lounge, plunge pool or beach. We also have a game room with pool table, ping pong and darts. In addition, we have daybeds throughout the property for further relaxation along with several areas for those who wish to work remotely in a relaxed setting.

Whole experience was weird. Host nor staff welcomed us to the hotel. We had to look for a staff member in order to get checked in at the hotel. The room had no view to the lake and room given was at the hotels basement. The bathroom had no windows, it was just a hole in the wall. Anyone could see us. We could also hear everything. No breakfast nor dinner was available to us do you a group that was staying at the hotel. In general it was really weird. No one checked in on us.

San Marcos La Laguna is a small, peaceful and laid-back village along the shores of Lake Atitlan.
The village attracts a diverse crowd because of its incredible natural beauty, tranquility, and magical atmosphere. It is known as being the holistic, health-conscious and spiritual center of the lake.
You will find lots of massage places, meditation centers, yoga retreats and many restaurants/cafes with seating in gorgeous lush gardens.
The village has a peaceful and laid-back atmosphere, an alternative and boho vibe, and a strong sense of community. The locals and expats are friendly and warm and everyone greets one another when passing.
There are breathtaking views of the lake and volcanoes from the town’s main dock. A fantastic place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

出行信息

Most travelers arrive to Lake Atitlan from Antigua or Guatemala City into the bustling and touristy town of Panajachel, which is the transportation hub of the lake.
San Marcos is accessible via public or private boat from Panajachel. The boat ride from Panajachel to San Marcos takes around 40 minutes in public and 15 minutes in private. It’s a really scenic ride and you get great views of the vastness of Lake Atitlan.
One may also drive directly to San Marcos through windy mountains and breathtaking views of the lake.
**We are also happy to arrange a private boat or transport from the city or Antigua for your convenience.
San Marcos is a small village made up of a network of narrow pedestrian pathways making it is easy to walk everywhere on foot. The pathways are surrounded by trees, plants and flowers which gives the town a very natural and intimate feel. The town is also unique in that there are almost no roads.
There are colorful tuk tuks driven by locals that can be found zooming along the main street that are happy to take you to your destination or to a nearby town.
To visit the other villages around the lake, you can take a public boat called a lancha from the main dock in town. These boats stop by San Marcos every twenty minutes or so from early morning (around six am) until around five in the evening.
