Our family, 4 adults and 3 children, had a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful and right on the ocean allowing us to listen to the waves throughout the night. The kids loved the upstairs with their own tv room although we were out most of the day, hiking and visiting nearby places. We loved the short walk to Beesands. The views along the way were amazing. We also walked to Slapton Sands and enjoyed a sweet treat before walking back to the house. The walk to the lighthouse was also amazing. We definitely would like to come back someday!

Really enjoyed our stay at Hallsands, location is fantastic and its lovely being able to walk out the door straight onto the beach. Beach itself was quiet in May despite the amazing weather which meant most of the time we had it to ourselves. The house was clean and had everything you could need. Single mattresses were a little uncomfortable and could probably do with replacing but other than that I cannot fault it. Location is a little isolated which is both positive and negative. But there are coulple of excellent resteraunts in Bee Sands only a 20 minute walk along the coast path. Nearest town is only a 20 minute drive and is well furnished. Roads are not for the faint of heart however and I would recommend driving them if you have any questions big car or are not confident on country lanes. All in all and excellent stay and I would happily stay again.

The house is in a fabulous position and has lovely views right on to the beach at the front and also to the green fields at the back. It felt welcoming, attractive and bright and there was plenty of space for our family goup of 6 adults and our dog. It was great for the dog to have the enclosed back and front garden areas and the stair gates were also useful. The well equiped kitchen with open plan dining room worked well for us. There are lovely walks along the coast path both ways and the beach was peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and plan to return to Guillimot sometime.

The house and location are stunning. The beach was extremely quiet when we were there and there’s direct access to the coastal path in both directions. We walked to the next village (Beesands) for fish and chips (Brittania) and returned the next day as it was so great. The coastal path in the other direction provides fantastic views and takes you to a lighthouse where we saw seals. The house itself was brilliant, we were a family of parents, kids and grandkids and there was plenty of space and we had all amenities we needed. We had a private chef one evening and the kitchen had all appliances needed. Would love to return, it’s an amazing spot where you can hear the sound of the waves from most rooms!

Fabulous house in an extraordinary location! Host provides everything you need to feel right at home, from extra duvets and hairdryers to games and tips for the area during your stay. The sound of the sea waves were so peaceful at night we all had a restful time. The 8yo with us said she wanted to live there until she’s 95! Secure garden for the dogs and built in stair doors to keep your 4 legged friends in their designated areas! Very warm and cozy as the house has underfloor heating throughout. Beds and bedding were super soft and comfy and I highly suggest taking a bath in the master with the stunning views to the rear of the home. We were so sad to leave and would definitely make the 7 hour journey back any day!
