This is a railroad town and the C & O Heritage Center is a short walk. Douthat State Park is 7 miles away and The Homestead Resort is a short scenic drive. There is plenty of hiking, biking, kayaking and canoeing with the Jackson and Cow Pasture rivers close by. A drive in any direction will enchant the senses with breathtaking scenery of mountains and unspoiled nature.

Most things in town are a walkable distance. Parking is just outside on the street.
