I stayed for. Couple of months. Overall a very pleasant stay. All amenities were provided as listed. The hosts were very responsive and helped with any issues we faced.

It was a nice place. We stayed here for an extended stay over the summer for work. There were a few things uncleaned when we arrived (trash between couch cushions, ants on counter) but we didn't mind enough to complain & we fixed it right away with no problems. Also please note that there is no AC. We were told the thermostat control is downstairs where we have no access. We had to use fans and a dehumidifier that was provided. It didn't help much at all but luckily we had our own portable AC unit that we used. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The location is quite inconvenient if you rely on public transit, especially if you plan to stay out late at night because the bus stops after a certain hour. Overall, the stay was fine and doable for us.

Ilka is very responsive and the place is neat and clean. Check in was good and I have no complaints! The beds are comfortable and what makes this space even more special is you have the comforts of home such as a nice welcome basket, a caring host and a house manager who is responsive as well in case anything should go wrong! What also helped was the Mr. coffee on the cold mornings and the washer and dryer! Thank you so much for the stay!

I had a wonderful month-long stay at Ilka & Dave’s apartment. It was nice, spacious, clean and had all the essentials you could need: from a well-stocked kitchen to washer/dryer to disinfectant wipes. I genuinely appreciated the snacks Ilka & Dave left prior to my arrival. The bed was comfortable but on the softer side. The house street felt safe, and during the day there are great public transport options, but after 11 only one bus (B36) goes to the area, and you still have to walk about half a mile from the last stop mostly through a so-so area. A few things to bear in mind: you can easily hear downstairs neighbors; the only way to enter the apartment is through a Bluetooth lock which will not work if your phone dies. If that happens to you, one thing you could do if you don’t have a power bank with you is take a taxi ($6 cash) instead of a bus from Stilwell Av and charge it on the way as I did. Also, if any packages to you from USPS show as Delivired to mailbox - there’s no mailbox near the house - , contact the host, and she will ask the person responsible for mail to bring it to you.
