The cottage is out of the way and the road is extremely bumpy on the way down. However a beautiful location. In the pictures shows a view from the garden, but it does not represent what the view actually is. With the fence and the bushes etc you cannot see anything. Chris was helpful with instructions and a query I had. If you’re looking for something with high standards I would not stay here. It is ok for a few nights stay but there were little things that we picked up on like a tea mug stain on the bath, no hand soap or towels in the bathrooms, no basics in the kitchen such as washing up liquid or sponge to wash up etc, could also do with decorating as the door handles were all scuffed in the kitchen and the curtain rail hanging off. The conservatory was dirty and had slugs on the window and the garden overgrown. There was a strong smell of damp but appreciate it is an old building but if you have bad asthma wouldn’t stay here. You pay for what you get, it suited our 2 night stay

We had a lovely stay in the cottage.. Family of 5 and a dog stayed comfortably for 3 days.. The only thing it was quite a cold house even with the heating on it was drafty.. However the house was great and the beds were comfy and kitchen well equipped, apart from could do with some scissors..

Loved out 3 night stay at Chris’s place. It is off the beaten track but we’ll worth it. Close to Westward Ho, Bideford etc. Easy check in and no problems.

A cosy weekend break away from it all. The cottage was well equipped with the fluffiest duvets. Great communication from owner. A delightful little spot.
