The lounge has comfortable seating and leads through to the dining room and well-equipped kitchen. There is also a utility room, downstairs shower room and study. From the dining room you can access the enclosed garden via the patio doors with outdoor dining space. Parking is to the front of the property for 2 cars and there is also a garage for a small car or guests’ storage. St Helens Village is on the East Coast of the Isle of Wight between the villages of Bembridge and Seaview. St Helens’ greens are an integral part of the village life with regular sports played throughout the year. The village also has a local corner shop, two restaurants, a public house and a children’s playground. St Helens beach is within walking distance of Helms House. Here you will find the remains of the original old church which was built on the seafront. Just off the coast is St Helens Fort which was built around 1867. There is also a lovely cafe/restaurant for you to enjoy a relaxing meal with stunning views. Close to the beach is St Helens Duver which was previously a golf course but is now owned by the National Trust. The Duver has a large car park and has views across to Bembridge Harbour and the RSPB conservation area. It is an ideal area for walking and outdoor games and Tactisle Watersports is located at the nearby marina. There is another cafe and a water taxi ferries passengers to Bembridge beach. Mackerel fishing trips operate from the harbour and there are two sailing clubs. Helms House is an ideal holiday home for families, walkers, cyclists, sailors, anglers and bird watchers with many public footpaths nearby.
