Cottage and pool was very nice. Well hidden in nature. Rented dwelling was the main floor, second floor was occupied by the host. Very little to no privacy. Thin walls as footsteps and conversations could easily be heard above. Big windows overlooking the pool gave no privacy while swimming. Basketball court was tiny and net was blocked by overhanging branches. Volleyball court had weeds and net was non-existent. Hot tub max capacity was 4 individuals. Frequently contacted by host throughout the stay for updates on when I was departing. Was not what I was led to expect in the ad.

Our family used to book in camping sights.  But her place caught our attention because of the beautiful photos advertise.  Without reading any reviews nor reading the house rules that was mention by Nana.  We arrived there around 5pm in 4 cars.  Yes 4 cars but it does not mean that the 4 cars are fully occupied by people.  One car had 2 passenger and 3 toddlers ages 7, 8 and 9 (which is not included in the counting because they are toddlers).  The other one had 2 passenger.  The other one 2 passenger plus 2 infant 15months twins(which is not included in the counting too).  The last car arrived 2hrs later with 5 passengers.  That gives a total of 16 pax.  Upon arrival, of  course we check the place because all of us were excitred for the next 3 days vacation.  But the place was not totally clean up.  They even asked for an apology because they said the last guest left the premises with all of their mess.  In addition, the tank of the bbq grill was empty.  So we call the owner to let them know about it. The same night one car arrived with 2 passenger.  And that's the time she asked for an additional payment for $280 Without hesitation, we immediately transfer the payment via e-transfer to her account .  This trip was planed months ago for our yearly family vacation.  To relax, have a break from from work and enjoy each other's company since this is happening only once a year.  But all of this was not realized since the first day we came in the premises.  As i mentioned, the place was not clean at all.  We would like to enjoy the pool but they are always in the window looking on us.  Maybe yes we are noisy because of all talking and laughing at loud for the reason that the family were together.  But since they get our attention because the neighbors might be destructed, we minimized the noise and even just stay in side the house instead of enjoying the pool.  The next day, there is no hot water available for no reason.  All of the induction cooker is not working because of power shortage.  Since we don't want to ruined the trip we just let it go and just used whatever resources available.  One of our friend dropped by just to have lunch.  But they requested for another payment for our visitor $30 for 3hrs again we paid for it right away via e-transfer to avoid any unsettle bill from them.  They even wanted to escort our friend going out the promises just to make sure she will not stay any longer.  That raised a red flag for us.  Not to mention to add every payment that supposed to be already settled.  We saw a fire pit so we assumed we can used it.  since we were in the middle of the forest, we collected some woods to used.  Again, they appeared and telling us not to use woods from natural resources.  and they are selling some fire woods to be used in the fire pit.  So we bought it from them for $20 They don't have bins for their garbage, so we just put all our garbage in black garbage bag that we have.  And asked them where we can throw the garbage.  That's the only time that they advised us to use clear garbage bags and segregate it.  Just to avoid any inconvience for both of us, we open up all the garbage bags and segragate it. We have 2 nights staying in bedroom with heavy footsteps every 3am.  That made our children so uncomfortable to sleep.  And she even texted for an additional payment if we do not leave the premises at the check out time at the middle of the night.  So we pay $50 again and transfer it immedietely.  Upon checking out, she approached one of our friend and asking for additional payment again.  Which is for us so unfair.  since the day we arrive everything that they are charging on us we immedietly paying for it.  So how come she asked for additonal payment again.  As much as possible we clean everything because that was they told us.  Even knowing that they charged us $90 for cleaning.  We are there to relax but not clean her premises.  Even the garbage far away from the house that we stayed wanted us to clean it.  She and her husband starting screaming on us saying that we’re trespassing and thieves inf front our kids she threatened us that she will not let us go until we pay for the additional payment that she was asking.  She even blocked the way out with a big tractor so that we cannot drive out for almost an 1hour they hold us in the premises We have kids on 2 cars that got scared on what is happening.  Until we decided to call the police.  The moment she knew that we already called the police for help, that was the time they let us go and warned us to wait for their legal actions.  The whole trip was traumatizing and we sacred that something might happen to us since its in the middle of nowhere she got 2 guys with her at that time.thinking that it would be a fun family trip.  And surprisingly, when we are about to write the complain for what we have experienced, there are tons of bad feedback, reviews from airbnb sight. Everything is not new to them this is not the first time they pull something like this harassing people blocking your way out.It so happened to be we are brave to call the cops to help us.   We have Picture and video to support this. This Airbnb is not what it’s advertised to be The owners live on the premises and watch you from upstairs as you’re swimming. There’s no privacy. Owner also walked into our place and harassed one of our guests and screamed very disrespectfully. Kitchen had nail heads coming out of the floor which cut open our guests right toe. There was no first aid kit provided. Wasp hives were visible near pool and hot tub. When we arrived, the hot tub and pool water was dirty! Our first encounter with the host was traumatizing as she yelled at us asking “who are you”/“this is my property”. When asked where to go for our booking she said go and read the manual. Upon entry, the stench in the first room was horrid. There was no privacy other than a thin door locked between the kitchen. We could hear the dog noises throughout the night. Still traumatized by this experience. Do not recommend this place to anybody.

We appreciate all nanas quick answers but keep in mind that you will be paying a 90$ cleaning fee and expect to clean most of the house “house rules”. We got a very rude person coming and yell at us and blame us about putting something in the hot tub which is not truth (there was a white foam coming from the hot tub the whole time), hot water runs out after 2 people shower, and the wifi is not stable, please have in mind that if you renting this space you fully read the house rules or you will be treating disrespectfully. After we got yelled the owner place a truck in the way out so we couldn’t get out, until we place the furniture back (couple of chairs moved from the pool area) it was very scary. We are a very calm group and never had any issues before you can see in my AIRBNB history.
