加农海滩(Cannon Beach) · 整套客房 · 0室2床0.0卫 · 可住1人 · The Zen Den - Studio/Loft (Monthly Only)
For over a decade, welcoming thoughtful and kind creatives, digital nomads, artists, and writers, seeking month-long or longer retreats in Cannon Beach. Ideal for a quiet, respectful, low-impact single person who welcomes being folded into a community and appreciates the outdoors and, of course, the ocean. Located in a private, quiet wooded neighborhood, with a peek of the ocean, sounds from the surf, and a 5 min walk to the beach. Shared deck, fire pit, and garden with the owner.
Margo and the Zen Den provide a unique window into Oregon’s North Coast. Varied beaches for walking, tide pools, intimate coves and headland trails beckon first time visitors and seasoned coasters as well. Being there IS opportunity: Coastal storms. Stunning sunset moments. The sound as hundreds of beach stones are pulled out to sea. Giant volcanic stacks and basalt cliffs. Fresh seafood. Wandering the eclectic shops and galleries. Swimming in Seaside’s Sunset Park pool. The occasional elk clomping on the deck at night. Margo’s welcoming ways and ease made me feel like family. You will love it. I live just an hour away in the foothills of the coast range yet being so close and having such a warm, comfortable space in which to retreat made my stay most memorable.
If you've read the other reviews, you know the Zen Den is special. It is exactly as it is described - peaceful, serene, cozy, comfortable. Margo is kind and warm, offering privacy but available if you need anything. She's provided everything necessary to make your stay comfortable. The beach is a quick walk away, and I walked downtown regularly. There are restaurants, groceries, and coffee nearby - if you can tear yourself away! I work remotely and had no issues. Cannon Beach is so much fun to wander around. As a single woman, I always felt safe - it was like staying with a dear friend. I recommend the Zen Den enthusiastically and without reservation - and plan to return, to sit on the deck and listen to the waves, and soak up the peace of the forest. I'm so grateful to Margo for providing this beautiful spot.
The Zen Den is an idyllic space in an idyllic place. Not only was everything clean and organized, but beautifully curated. I felt right at home. More importantly, Margo is a gracious and kind host. I had just as much fun getting to know her as I did spending time on the beach (which is a close walk!). 10 out of 10--can't wait to return!
I had a lovely time at the Zen Den. I worked remotely from this space for two months and it was a dream. The studio is more than enough space for one person, is beautifully decorated, and the kitchen is very well equipped for its size. Bathroom is quite large and the washer/dryer was much appreciated. I stayed without a car and was able to walk/bus pretty much everywhere I needed. There is also a smaller grocery store less than a 10 min away on foot. Margo was a fantastic host. She was on top of communicating anything I might need to be aware of during my stay, and even offered rides when her schedule allowed it. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and I would not hesitate to visit again in the future. Thanks again, Margo!
There's magic in the Zen Den. It's a space to restore, reflect, and reconnect. All of this was made possible through Margo's gracious hospitality. The space had everything needed to be comfortable: clean open space, functioning kitchen and appliances, plenty of light, comfortable beds, fast wifi - all making for a cozy stay. However, it's the little things that make it truly special: the curated library, the 360-view of swaying trees, the sound of the ocean from the deck. The town is a short car ride away, with the grocery shop, beach, trails, and viewpoints within walking distance. The people and their relationship to nature are what make Cannon Beach what it is - everyone respects this peaceful bond. Margo exemplifies this, as she met me where I was at and made way for connection at my pace. I found myself disconnecting from noise and reconnecting with the quieter opportunities around. Between the forest, mountains, and the sea, I'm grateful for every moment in this special space.
Away from the hustle and bustle of Cannon Beach. In a private, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach, fresh food market, bakery, coffee shop, post office, and town center. The neighborhood is safe, friendly, and quiet.
Parking can be a serious problem in Cannon Beach. A shuttle takes people from one end of the town to the other. The stop is within walking distance of the property. From the Tolovana Wayside, it is two miles walk on the beach to the other end of Cannon Beach, with beach access trails to any part of town along the way. There are bike lanes for cyclists. Guests will park in the driveway in front of the studio. There is available storage for a bicycle.
自我介绍
As a family, we love the outdoors, travel, creative people, and sharing community wherever we go. We are a family of curious wanderers and travelers. A visitor is treated like a friend and feel like they are welcome in the community. Our family includes a designer, architect, nurse, and public health administrator. Our home is located five walking minutes from one of the most beautiful coastlines in the United States. The main house is across a shared deck from the studio. The central patio is tiered providing a glimpse of the ocean and a private garden. Adjacent to the cottage is an outdoor hot/cold bamboo shower for the surfer. The studio is an ideal space for the professional who works remotely, the creative, or the person(s) seeking respite. Visitors arrive as guests and leave as friends.
