Such a hidden gem of an Airbnb! Next time I am back in NYC I will be sure to book this place again. The apartment is perfect for singles or couples to stay in with a comfortable bed and living area. Going to echo the other reviewers on the lock issue, definitely was a little confused because we were handed keys that were essential duplicates to the apartment, but no key to the main door. However, Justine was super kind and helpful on that part and was very accommodating, which we really appreciated. We ended up finding the other key pair that included the entryway keys and the apartment keys. Also, the air conditioning is in the living room instead of the bedroom, which can get really hot, but again going to echo the other reviewers that if you leave the air conditioning out running it’ll cool down the place in no time. The area is super safe and has the city feel, and I definitely would recommend booking here!

This is the true idea of Airbnb: Someone opening their living space to you. Thank you, Justine, for sharing your apartment. It is small, yet it has everything one needs. Perfect for singles or couples. Great location, still quiet. The building has seen decades, so has the apartment, but all is very clean with fresh linen and towels. The bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept in outside of my home, seriously! What else could you be asking for after a busy day in NYC?! The kitchen even has coffee, tea, the most important spices. Justine is the kindest host ever, always quick to respond, always positive, always helpful, precious qualities. This even from a distance, while traveling on her own, while -yes- that's the reason- you can stay in her apartment. Thanks again, Justine, for the opportunity to live like a true New Yorker, for your patience and kindness ( and for the amazing person who helps out with the check-in and does a great job on the cleaning)!

The location was perfect. We were able to walk to most locations and the subway is only a couple blocks away. Everything was clean and plenty of space for 2 people. The bed was comfortable. Luckily there was an AC window unit or the place would have been a little warm with the summer heat. If you turn on the AC immediately and let it run, it eventually gets back to the bedroom. Literally the only problem (which isn’t the hosts fault) is that the main front door is VERY difficult to open. The lock is old or about the break. We were able to get it open several times, but with a lot of difficulty. Luckily residents were coming and going when we were on a couple occasions and they let us in. Otherwise, we just had to wrestle with the lock until it opened. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place.
