Mathry · 整套乡村小屋 · 3室5床2.0卫 · 可住6人 · Little Roost - Spacious yet cosy cottage
Little Roost is a spacious, comfortable and well equipped cottage on the St David's Peninsula. It's situated in the quiet village of Mathry (with its panoramic views), and is a 5 minute drive from Pembrokeshire’s north coast & beaches. It's perfectly situated for many of Pembrokeshire's treasures, whether it's the vast stretches of coastal walks, working harbours of Porthgain and Abercastle (with its neolithic burial chamber), the spectacular Blue Lagoon or Britain's smallest city, St David's. The cottage has lots of space and all rooms are well sized with large new windows. It has a charming quality with wooden latched doors, log burning stove and tuned piano. The spacious utility room is an ideal place to store bicycles or equipment indoors and there is also room in an outside storeroom, which houses the barbecue. Through the west facing master bedroom window is a field and sea beyond, and views of spectacular sunsets can often be enjoyed.
Excellent, warm and cosy winter stay at Little Roost. Lots of great footpaths nearby down to the coast.
We highly recommend Vicky's lovely cottage. From the beginning, her communication was brilliant. She replied my queries promptly. On arrival nice welcome pack was awaiting for us on the table and it was really appreciated. Even though the cottage was set in the rural lication, there are many beautiful places within easy reach including beaches at Abercastele/Abermar, blue lagoon, St Davids, bug farm, Stamble head lighthouse, Fishgurd fort, Woolen mill Melin Tregwynt and so on. There is a petrol station 5 minutes drive away, where provides everything you need although we managed to order Tesco deliveries. There is a pub and a cafe within 2 minutes walk. We had a dinner at the pub and the food was brilliant. The cottage was well equiped from home from home. It was very spacious for the family of 6 plus a dog and really warm. We had a wonderful time there. Thank you Vickly for your hospitality.
Wonderful cottage in a great location. Highly recommend booking here as the facilities in the cottage are great, it is spacious and homely. There are great walks from the doorstep and most places are dog friendly. There is a nice pub about 5 mins walking distance down the road.
The north Pembrokeshire coast is an ideal location for the perfect getaway; an untouched and historic part of Wales.
Mathry is a lovely community with a local pub and tea room, which are both in walking distance, and a farm shop. Melin Tregwynt, which makes beautiful woolen blankets, cushions, clothes etc is nearby and also has a wonderful cafe.
From the cottage, there are various footpaths that take you to the nearby coastal path and beaches of Abermawr, Aberbach and Abercastle. Great for walking with or without a dog!
Fishguard and St Davids (with its 13th Century cathedral) are approximately a 10 minute drive in opposite directions and both have supermarkets and shops. The town of Haverfordwest is a 25 minute drive and has a number of large supermarkets.
There is a Spar shop in the local petrol station 2 miles away, which has all main grocery items.
For access around the county, there is a coastal cruiser bus that goes to popular tourist spots and beaches.

I moved to Pembrokeshire with my family in February 2020 to lead a more active and outdoor lifestyle. Up until now, we have had lots of guests to our cottage (Covid permitting!), but are new to Airbnb. I am a people person and take great pleasure in seeing guests enjoying themselves and having a lovely holiday. I hope to welcome you to our cottage in the near future.
