checkin and motel at different locations
the room was a pleasant surprise, we had ample of room for luggage and space to manoeuvre. toilet was large with a lot of counter space which was appreciated. staff both at The Dorothy and Caribou were all so generous and nice. just to note that there is no service counter at The Dorothy and its at the tip of Banff but this was no problem for us at all. we enjoyed a 15-20 minute walk to and from downtown everyday in the nice weather. complimentary shuttle passes were available for us to take the bus downtown, up Sulphur Mountain and Tunnel Mountain, and there were shuttles up Mount Norquay, Sunshine and Lake Louise to ski (we were also entitled to discounted ski rentals as guests so that was a plus!). parking spaces were also available right at our doorstep. overall, a very good experience and we will love to stay at The Dorothy if we come back :-)
Stayed here for a snowboard trip. Good location if you want to stop by Lake Louise which is what we did. Room was clean and had a good heater.
The hosts were incredibly responsive, friendly, and easy to work with.
Super cute hotel, very comfy and super close to the bus stop! Would stay here again. About a 20 minute walk into town though, as it is def at the end of the busy part of banff ave.
