The Bear Pause Lodge will be a family retreat from here on our! The home was excellent with lots of games and space to relax. Each room was perfectly clean, all the furniture and beds were comfy and homey. The kitchens were well equipped for cooking full meals. The TVs had awesome sound bars and everything you could ask for to watch. The fire pit was excellent with plenty of chairs and lots of very nice firewood that burned well and smelled great. Richard was responsive when reached out to for pool passes, we only had a minor hiccup going to the L/N clubhouse but it was fixed immediately and we had a blast. The whole trip was excellent and because of Bear Pause Lodge my family and I got a well needed rest and relaxation experience in one of my favorite places to be in Northern Michigan.

This was perfect for what we needed. We traveled with two families and the two flats were ideal. The attention to detail by Richard and team were much appreciated. Things were labeled clearly, easy to figure out, and clear. It was clean and very cozy. We would definitely stay again. I highly recommend it.

Second time we stayed in Richard’s place in Mancelona. Everything was perfect—we love the gameroom and there is also a community pool! We will certainly come back!
