what a wonder-filled escape!! feels like a night in fairy land. definitely prepare yourself with plenty of candles and bring extra blankets. Incredible property to explore and interesting folks to talk to!!! Have some conversations with Dan or other people living there if you get the chance! would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life !! Was the perfect spot on our coastal roadtrip 😜

Good morning. We found the place got all our bags and stuff in there found some matches. We also found a mouse. We also found mouse, poop, and mouse P in the bed, so we left and found a place in grants Pass to spend the night I think this place has potential, I also think if you're going to Airbnb, you need to put a little bit more into it as far as preparing it for guests. I have slept in snow caves on Mount Rainier, cob houses, tree houses, and I spent the night once in a cave on the East Coast so I am not new to unusual places. I will be contacting Airbnb for a refund. Sincerely, Tina.

Read the bio and read the instructions!!! This place is a really cool experience. It is definitely in the middle of NOWHERE and it’s more like you are camping so bring stuff you would need for camping experience (lots of wood for fire, lighter, food, snacks, lantern, flashlights, sleeping bag, pillows, cooler). The drive up was kinda scary but definitely doable! Screen shot Dans directions as soon as you get in your car to head there do not Google! You will not have service and will not be able to find it without them! Go before it gets dark!!! Met Dan, was very nice but stayed to himself as well as the others staying there. There is a bathroom right by the hobbit hole but if you don’t want to walk in the night there is a bucket in the hobbit hole that isn’t too bad to pee in! Overall very cool experience would definitely do it again! Also felt very safe being a female by myself.

Overall the hosts did a good job of clearly articulating what to expect. Which made it all the more shocking when we arrived and found a full page notice that there was no smoking allowed anywhere on their property. Which meant we rushed to get up 4 miles of dirt roads to get to the spot by dark only to have to hike a mile back down the road at night to smoke off their property. We didn’t have any service and assumed we must have missed something in the description when we booked. But no, after returning to service we looked through and the description of the place doesn’t mention the complete smoking ban. It’s only very briefly mentioned in the messages we received after booking and was very much buried in the Fire ban section (which we didn’t realize was different content from the fire ban section on the original booking page). It was very frustrating. We expect not to smoke in or near rooms but if there’s no smoking anywhere on your property, that should be made abundantly clear.

Great stay with my daughter who loved it so much! It was an adventure for sure! Thanks to Dan’s clear description, we were well prepared. The only thing that was a little difficult was understanding where to park the car. Other than that, it was a true gem!
