No WiFi available or phone reception for Vodaphone or TPG (Telstra mobile works apparently), but aside from that a wonderful tech-free break! Spectacular beaches and balcony!

Sadly this isnt a good review from us. Before we even checked in we received an email from the Prom Getaways with all these additional fees for rules which were way over the top, such as taking the bin to the kerb a fine of $70 for not complying etc. This put a bad taste in our mouth before we even arrived. The communication is so terrible, we reached out with some concerns the place was dirty: stains on the sheets, dirty show recess with black mould, food splattered on back splash, mirror was greasy with makeup, dishes dirty, crumbs and burnt food residue on the oven trays left there from the previous guests, two dirty socks left under the bed, sand throughout the entrance way. The place is not pet friendly as you will receive an email shortly before check in saying all pets need to be kept outside only. The fencing is 20cm high on the front gate allowing any pet smaller than a staffy able to escape, there is two holes predug by a dog under the house which has not been repaired and a hole in both side fences where the wire has been dug out, big enough for an adult to climb through. There is no WiFi - yes it states this in the ad, however it should also be noted this suburb has NO internet reception for mobile data, no landline either for dialing out for food etc. The location whilst walking distance to the beach isn't a particularly nice beach, it's covered in seaweed and the wind rips through picking up the sand. We tried to go over three days and each day was the same. However the weather was perfect in the Prom and next suburb over at Sandy Point. There are no shops close by, bring everything! The TV reception is patchy, so will need to plan ahead for kids with also no internet. Bring your own linen, including mattress protection etc as the only one they supply was dirty for us. They don't supply bathroom soap or any basics etc. Bring it all. The welcome book only has information via QR codes which is ironic as there is no reception for mobile data or WiFi, so we didn't know what was around the area - turns out only one burger joint in Foster. But just don't forget to take out the bin or wash your cups when you go or you'll be hit with rediculous fees. We did get a $40 refund for cleaning fee after complaining, but not until days later.

We had a great time at Waratah Bay. Weather was perfect. House is nice and close to the beach. Size of the house was good for family of 4. Would definitely stay again. Oh, and pets must remain outside though there are no side gates so we had to resort to surfboards and body boards to create barriers even though there is a front gate, our dog would easily get under it.

Great place. Close to the beach, and nice and relaxing to stay at. There is no wifi and we had no phone reception, so download anything you need prior to getting there. Would recommend this house!
