My husband and I stayed in Yellow Bird in 1996...the island has changed but not Yellow Bird. Except it now has a 2nd bathroom, an expanded covered deck, screens on windows and doors but all its charm is exactly the same. Every morning, we had to chose which way to take a swim, down steps to our private beach or a short walk to a wide sandy beach. Owner Kathleen was always ready to answer questions and give suggestions, especially when AA was late arriving in GND and how to make our connection on SVG. The property manager Nurlyn arranged rental car delivery and pick up, fulfilled our shopping list to assure rum punch makings were at the house for first night sunset cocktails plus coffee for the next morning. Birdsongs, sunset view, always a breeze...just the best at Yellow Bird.

Very lovely location - just 10 minutes from anywhere. So peaceful and just a few steps from the private beach.

Sometimes you need 6 stars. You can’t really be prepared for the location. Down a private estate road and the view from the terrace is breathtaking. Then the private steps to a small sandy beach….it’s the stuff of dreams. The local agency is the best I’ve ever experienced and couldn’t have done more. The house feels like home and is well equipped. Only minor point is lack of aircon if you’ve got used to that (but plenty of fans) and the sheets could be better quality. A hire car is a real plus. Overall, we’d be back like a shot - just wonderful.

Yellow Bird lived up to our expectations! Cottage was well stocked with towels, games, cooking utensils, fans, and places to lounge while catching a breeze on the veranda. The snorkeling at Tom’s Bay was amazing and Sparrow Bay around the bend was a beautiful beach to relax and explore. About a 1/2 hour walk south to town and a 45 minute hike north to beautiful Anse La Roshe. Nurlyn, the property manager was easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this place and hope to return in the future!

This is a true Caribbean cottage that doesn't have a/c, fully screened with shutters. Yard is fenced and at the end of a dead end road. Huge wrap around deck with tables, loungers and hammocks (spent all my time on the deck). This place was much nicer in person! The views are simply amazing! Stairs that go down to the ocean where you can swim or snorkel. I wanted a place where I could relax and enjoy my surroundings. This place did exactly that. Very quiet, all you hear is nature. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is wonderful. There is an excellent breeze that cools the house. You can get away with not renting car, mini bus stop at the end of the road. There is a woman named Heleana that comes by in a food truck (pizza, roti etc). No TV but for those that need it the wifi is great if you want to stream from your laptop. The cleaning lady was really pleasant and communication with the owner was great. I'm not sure why this place isn't fully booked!!! The property is amazing.
