Our host Lindsay was quick to respond, helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to work with in helping us enjoy our stay. Thoughtful pieces, art work, interesting spices, lovely decor, most beautiful scenic views day and night via porch, docks or from one of many window panes. So much to do in this beautiful private escape of heaven. It’s not for me to share all, but for you to find out! Thank you for having us!

My family of five attended this lake side cottage for three nights in late August. This spot is an idyllic getaway where the hosts have thought of just about everything to make our stay enjoyable. The decor and appliances were updated, fresh, well maintained with a hint of 70’s design. We really enjoyed the outdoor lights and deck in the evenings. S’mores and wine were provided as a gift as well as freezies for the little ones that were greatly appreciated! We were grateful for the wifi and streaming tv services on a rainy day indoors as well as a fabulous deep soaker bath tub that we indulged in along with some bath salts! Truly relaxing! We observed wildlife such as herons, chipmunks and many frogs! A lot of outdoor activities to choose from as well! The children enjoyed the colourful water mat provided, and a shed full of activities! It was very serene to hear water lapping up on the rocks with the windows open. The hosts have taken great care of this space. We loved our stay!

Cutest little place! Felt like a home away from home. The mid century modern interior design and little wood stove set the perfect mood for our stay. Had such a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful sunsets and curling up with a hot chocolate. So happy that we chose this spot to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend! Lindsay was super helpful and responsive. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway outside the city that isn't too far of a drive.

Absolutely perfect stay on the Otanabee river. Great location for relaxing, swimming, and having campfires. Lots to do in Peterborough. Couldn't have been a better vacation!

My family and I had such a great time at Lindsay’s & Lachlan’s. The location feels secluded teeming with wildlife even though it is only a 90 minute drive from Toronto. The cottage itself is well built, and thoughtfully furnished - and the Riverview is fantastic. I could not have asked for more, and hope to stay there again.
