Had a great stay and I had all the amenities I needed

I stayed here for 2 months during my summer internship. The unit is very clean and newly renovated. The kitchenette is usable and they did have a hot plate there if you wanted to use any pots and pans that you brought. As well as a microwave and toaster oven. There was a handful of cooking utensils and some forks, spoons, and knives. The bedroom has a tall dresser and 2 nice sized closets with a rack to store stuff on and also hang some clothes hangers on. During my stay, the upstairs tenents were very respectful as it is a shared front door. You have a locked door down to the basement unit and temperature was controlled upstairs but I never felt the need to mess with it as it was usually set at 72F. The comforter for the bed is pretty small and thin so you might want to bring an additional blanket. The in-unit washer and dryer were great and much appreciated! WiFi was fast and I never had any problems with it. Parking was never an issue either, there's was always spots available. The only downside I can think of is that the neighborhood and the streets around it always have a lot of bulk trash outside for some reason that never got picked up. No fault to the host of course. Overall my stay was fantastic, thank you!

I traveled to the area for business purposes and this was my first time staying in an AirBnB. The property owner, Hassan, and his property manager, Shams, were communicative and courteous in their processing of my reservation and in checking me in to this location. I was informed that, if I needed anything, all I had to do was pick up the phone and give them a call. I was there for a month and they checked in on me periodically to ensure that my stay was going well and that I was comfortable. I appreciated that. On the day and time of check-in, I was met at the property by Shams, the property manager. Shams was courteous and easy-going and let me in to the property and gave me a quick and simple tour of the space where I would be staying and he gave me a parking pass and showed me how to get in and out of the space. The space was clean. The bathroom, the kitchen area, the bedroom, the washer and dryer, the floors, the living room area, etc., were all well kept and clean. I appreciated this as any other guest would. Cookies were laid out for me too which was a nice gesture. I enjoyed my month-long stay and was able to take care of my business that I was there to do with no problems. I didn't need a television because I have my computer and can watch anything I want from that. I also don't watch a lot of television and was there to work. But, for those who DO watch television, there is no television or cable set-up here. You might want to know that if that is important to you. The kitchen are is small and there is no stovetop or oven if you want or need to cook anything. But there IS an oven upstairs in the main part of the property that is available to you if you want to use it. I didn't need to use it, but it is there. The bed was very comfortable and there was a small comforter on it. If you are a person who like a lot of covers on you when you sleep, you may want to have a blanket with you or ask the property manager to provide you with an extra blanket. I'm sure they will oblige. This particular space is in the basement and there is no private entrance. You enter the space through the front door and then you descend into the space through another door. Because this space is in the basement, it gets cool when the weather is cooler outside. There is no thermostat control in the basement that I saw. But, you can go to the main area and access the main thermostat if you need to adjust the temperature. But there may be other people staying in the upstairs portion of property so you should probably coordinate with them to determine a good temperature that works for everyone. Overall, my stay was pleasant and I would recommend Hassan and Shams for anyone who needs a quiet, clean space to stay in if you are in the area on business for an extended period of time. Good people make for a good stay. Thank you for your hospitality during my stay from April 6th to May 6th. Overall, my experience was good as I was busy but able to get a lot of work done and accomplish my career goals that I came there to do. The place was clean which is always a plus and stands out for anyone who initially walks into a place where they will be staying for an extended period of time. The property manager, Shams was very courteous and communicated very well that I could contact him if I needed anything. Again, this is ALWAYS a plus to know that those who manage a property where I will be spending an extended period of time are attentive and hospitable enough to communicate that all I need to do is let them know if I need anything and then they follow through. I didn't need much as my main goal was work. Check-in was easy. I met Shams at the property and he arrived when he said he would and was there with the parking pass and to let me in on my initial arrival. I liked that he was there to let me in and answer any questions upon my initial arrival and then gave me information about how to contact him if I needed anything. I didn't have any problems with parking (something I thought might be a problem because the roadway was narrow and there were plenty of cars out there). I was able to easily come and go with no problems. The Internet connection was strong and I did not ever have any problems with it dropping or not working properly and this was important for me due to the nature of my work. I was very happy with that. The bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, washer/dryer, floors, etc. were all pretty clean. Those were the pros for me and they were probably the most important things I can think of that a guest would want to make their stay a good experience. I don't necessarily consider what I'm about to write "cons" but they were some of my thoughts during my stay. I arrived in April, so it was still kind of cool outside because April is a transition month from cold/cool to warm. Because this particular apartment was in the basement, it got cold down there. There is no thermostat and I didn't want to disturb what the other residents upstairs were used to so I didn't bother going up to change the thermostat upstairs. I just put on more layers of clothing. Also, there was only a small comforter on the bed which wasn't sufficient for me to keep warm at night.

I had a long-term stay from February to May, and the space was ideal during the pandemic: private, clean, and included most of the basic amenities. Besides an oven, a dishwasher, and some cooking supplies, the space had everything I needed for the long haul. There wasn't much to do within a ~10 mile radius, but I went into Georgetown and D.C. quite often, only about 30-40 minutes from the house. I also saw the cherry blossoms when Spring came around, which were an amazing sight. As a host, Hassan was excellent: responsive, cordial, and respectful. He also gave me advanced notice when repairs needed to be made in the house. As a first time Airbnb guest, this set the expectations very high, and I would recommend this space to anyone visiting Silver Springs or the surrounding area.
