Absolutely amazing weekend for my mams 60th birthday. Andrew was so friendly and a great host. The home itself was beautiful and spacious. Definitely will be back for future celebrations!
We hired Stonewell House for a girls weekend (group of 8). The house is decorated nicely, very spacious, and well equipped. the bathrooms are lovely, especially the bathroom on the top floor. The hot tub was lovely to use. We went for a walk from the house which was recommended in the welcome pack, and the instructions were good to follow and we loved the views. Andrew was a helpful and friendly host. Some of the beds weren't very comfortable, but this didn't matter too much to us. There was only one speaker to link to the phone and the karaoke system is dated. However, we would definitely visit again.
Lovely house in a great location and the house was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The hot tub is in a lovely sheltered spot in the garden and the views from the lounge and the main bedroom are beautiful. Very easy 15-20 min walk into the centre of Holmfirth and taxis easy to come by if you don’t fancy the hill back. If you have lots of cars my advice would be to only have 2/3 cars in the driveway and reverse in as it makes it a lot easier to get out - there’s plenty of parking on the street if you need it. Overall a great stay, would definitely recommend for anyone with a large group/family!
The house was very nice and located in lovely surroundings. It was decorated for Christmas which made it feel very festive and the hosts left a really nice Christmas hamper, thank you. The only comment is that everything is just a bit worn. For £1,500 per night I would have expected nice bedding and towels and not to have to strip our bedding at the end of a 3 night stay costing £4,500. It is a very nice house and I think money spent on new bedding, mattresses and towels would be well spent.
This is a beautiful house in a stunning location for a big family to stay in. Easy instructions to get in. Andrew was always very responsive to questions and messages. The house has everything you need and we all loved it and wished we could have stayed longer. Have already booked for next year! 😀
