An ok option for a long-term stay. The rooms are very convenient as they are near Grand Central Station. However it's rather expensive for what is on offer. There are a few issues during my stay: - Several of the laundry machines were broken during my stay. This made it difficult to do laundry because the machines were often occupied and it was difficult to plan laundry during the week as a result. The machines are coin-operated. - Wifi is not good. This will be an issue if you are working during the stay. - I was informed that check-in was 24 hours but arrived at the lobby the first day, only to be told that check-in hadn't begun. This created added inconvenience. - Kitchen, in-room appliances, and decor are a bit dated. It's also worth noting that most staff did not wear masks. This was not an issue for me, but might concern some.

Great location, 3 blocks away from grand central station, variety of restaurants walking distance. Time square is a 10 min walk, Central Park was a 15-20 min walk depending how distracted you get on your way there. Overall good location if you’re visiting NYC for the first time or if you’re just on business.

I needed a temporary place to stay for a few months and am more than pleased I stumbled on MHS. Location-wise, it's near Grand-Central which is a transportation hub for most major lines so is convenient for those who wishes to use public transportation. Service: The staffs are some of the nicest and accommodating staffs I've encountered. My apt was-- unfortunately-- carpeted, which I expected from the photos, so I brought two small air purifiers and a vacuum cleaner to remove any potential allergens that have lingered on the furnitures or carpets. The building would have probably provided a vacuum cleaner as needed, but it was just convenient to have my own. The apt and furnitures themselves are quite out-dated, but has a charming feel to it. It's very clear that the housekeeping staffs do their best to work with what they have and have managed to keep everything in good shape and matching-- even the kitchen utensils matches and are from a set (as opposed to an Air BnB stay with random mismatched furnitures and utensil that have just been accumulated from garage sales and guests over time). So, despite everything looking like it's from the 1980's, theres also a charming old-time feel to the place that I appreciate. Overall, I do recommend this place. It's like a typical air-BnB but with outstanding 24/7 service of a hotel sort-of-speak. Don't expect hotel service where you'll get your room made everyday, though there are perks of getting new towels and sheets every week--more places should adopt this service, I think! When I've had a problem with the tub, wifi, or anything, the front-desk staffs have always went above and beyond to find a solution. Much, much appreciated! My only recommendation is for house-keeping to lysol the carpets and furnitures, and to get a washable couch cover that is also cleaned during every turn-over.
