Really nice location with beautiful and peaceful property. Loved that we could walk down to the river and have a fire in the fire pit, and bbq. The home provided a comfortable amount of space for our group of 5 to enjoy, very comfortable beds, ample bathrooms for privacy...all round a great value.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but we had a couple of snafus that took away that fifth star. If the internet and, by proxy, the satellite system had been reliable, it would have made the stay almost perfect. As it was, we spent a lot of time trying to make either the internet or the tv work satisfactorily. Neither one did, except for on Thanksgiving, when the demands on the overall network were probably much lower than usual. But overall, it's a nice place. Good touches of warmth. We had fun playing simple board games when we couldn't use any devices, so it all worked out. Great place for exploring Rum River and tromping around the countryside.

Susan was a very gracious and accommodating host, who was very attentive to our needs and communicated with our party in a very gracious and timely manner. The unit is quite comfortable (nice beds) and spacious (three bathrooms!) and the grounds are lovely. We loved looking at the chickens on the lawn each morning!
