The house was perfect for our family (2 adults, 2 children). Our 4 yo enjoyed playing on the hill and in the snow. It’s remote enough we had privacy from neighbors, but not so far that getting to town was a hassle. There was still snow on the ground and the temps dropped below freezing at night. While driving HWY 67 was BEAUTIFUL, we recommend taking the CR-1 side for an easier trek up to the house. We enjoyed the easy access to the Florissant Fossil Beds, Pikes Peak, and Colorado Springs.

Overall, we had a really nice and peaceful stay. The cabin was beautiful and so was the view. The cabin is well stocked and we appreciated it being very family friendly with our 10 month old. There was a high chair, pack and play, and age appropriate toys. We had some issues with the heat turning off in the middle of the night but thankfully there were space heaters. Hopefully the heat/furnace is serviced soon. Entering the property from the parking spot on the road would be challenging for someone with mobility restrictions. It was icy and there was no rail but we were fine.
