I would definitely recommend this place - so close to everything but unique and not a standard hotel, which I enjoyed. I was greeted by one of the owners who gave us a lot of information about the history of this place which I really appreciated. I think it's great that they want to restore it to its original condition. The inside of the wigwam was so cozy and adorable. The mattresses were brand new and the place was updated with a TV and Wi-Fi which was nice. The bathroom was basic but clean.

We booked this stay based on uniqueness & location! Other reviews had us prepared that some of the rooms/venue were under renovations, but that didn’t distract us from our expectations. The owner, Keith was very pleasant at our arrival & took his time to share a brief history & stories of this AirBnB. Our Wigwam was sufficient for a family of 4; basic, clean, comfortable beds, toilet, sink, shower, TV/internet. The kids enjoyed the community green space, playground equipment & nightly bonfire. Do be aware, the playground equipment is run down, but safe enough. We ended up playing catch/frisbee/running around the open area. The location was perfect for visiting Mammoth Caves National Park. Good food was a short car ride away. The town itself doesn’t have much going on, which is partly why we left 1 day early. Wishing Keith & Megan a speedy renovation to their Wigwam Village #2. Overall, very pleased with our experience.

We absolutely love our stay here! GREAT place for families. Kids loved the playground and meeting with the neighboring wigwam families. Love that they are bringing this roadside stop back to it’s former glory. Great history lesson at check in & some fun souvenirs. Sweet cat on the property as well. Can’t wait to see what they do with the “bigwam” and we will absolutely be back to check out the coffee/ ice cream once it’s available!

This place is an historical gem!! It absolutely takes you to another place in time, let’s you slow down a bit, and gives you a feeling of being far, far away from home. The overall site is still a work in process, which is in itself fascinating because you get to learn he history of the buildings and see some of them being restored. If you have small kids, this is an absolute must because they will live all the playground equipment and the 8pm communal fire (bring marshmallows, they supply the skewers). And they get to play in a safe, observable environment with all the other kids. Most of all, you get a wonderful experience out of this stay AND you know your money is going to help restore an important piece of history that others will get you enjoy too. You sure as hell can’t say that about a Best Western.
