we had a brilliant weekend. we did Helvellyn on the Saturday then kayaking on ullswater on Sunday. Both of these activities were at the most a 20 min drive from the house which made this a perfect location to stay. The place was spotless and it is much bigger than the initial photos may suggest. Comfy beds and a great kitchen with modern appliances. Would definitely stay again for more adventures and highly recommend others do aswell

Spent 5 days at the house with my 6 family members. House was brilliant for us all, lots of room, games to play and puzzles to do in the house. Definitely recommend the house and area to anyone wanting to visit the Lake District.

Hello! We live on the edge of the lake district with our son and have two dogs, a brood of chickens plus a hive of bees! We both work as Science teachers part-time at local secondary schools. Most of our free-time is taken up looking after our son but when we are not entertaining him, we enjoy running, playing the guitar, board games and Andy loves Dungeons & Dragons! As a family we love going out in the canoe on Ullswater or taking the dogs out for a nice long walk! We also like countering all that exercise with some good old home baking.
