Would be wonderful in summer Heat is a wood stove and they charge for the wood. Knew it had only a Porta potty but didn't know it was 1/8 mile from the tent. Bring a lamp or lantern, even if the power is working there is no light source. The kitty loves to share the bed and likes snacks All in all a wonderful adventure

My husband and I loved our one night stay at the ranch! Bailey the dog & Timothy the cat greeted us as we drove up to the farm, Timothy followed us everywhere & he snuggled with us during the night which we loved (he can get into the yurt on his own). Peppy the peacock was hilarious & was comfortable getting close to us. Ally was so kind to come by when we asked so we could meet the barn animals & feed them. We were warm during the 40 degree night with blankets & a wood burning stove ($5 bundles of wood are for sale) & we got up 2x during the night to add wood. There is fire starter and basic kitchen supplies available. The outhouse was a bit of a walk from the yurt, but there are lights to guide you in the dark. There are great paths in the woods & we enjoyed our walks around the place. Downtown Crown Point is a 15-20 min drive from the ranch & was a sweet place to visit with lots of antique stores. It was a lovely stay and we hope to return!

The location is pretty but there were fireworks being popped all night long. The yurt looked like the pictures and was somewhat clean but the spot for plates/utensils had a very weird smell so we didn’t feel comfortable using them. There were a couple broken pieces of the tiki lamps scattered in the yurt. Around half of hand-held lamps provided were not working properly. There was one missing feature, which was the ability to plug in an electric cord. When I communicated that it wasn’t working, they said it might be because it had been very wet the past few days which might have tripped the plug and never heard again from them so it felt like there was no interest to help or provide an alternative. We received the check-in instructions without clarifying that there wouldn’t be any firewood available or for sale on-site. Thankfully we thought of asking, but felt like an after-thought for the host on what was going to be a fairly cold/wet night.
