We were thrilled with this space, and nothing disappointed once we arrived. The view is extraordinary, from this 175 year old rambler perched overlooking the Orland River. We’ve traveled to this area at least once yearly, since our parents moved to Penobscot 9 years ago, and this was our favorite stay so far. Full of character, with terrific amenities, and so comfortable, with lots n lots of room for everyone. The star is the view, with historic houses dotting each side of the river as you gaze down it. Excellent location, close to many of Maines special attractions. This was a Winter visit, and we’re looking forward to a warm weather visit, when we can take more advantage of the large deck on the back of the house overlooking the river. The hosts are terrific, proactive and responsive. We couldn’t have been happier with the space, and the hosts. We will return.
