Just 40 minutes away from bustling Nelson or Castlegar, we offer a perfect balance of seclusion and proximity to amenities. In fact, we are perfectly situated for you to enjoy day trips to so many amazing regional historical sites, natural springs and outdoor activities. A short walk from the Nest will take you to a two neighbourhood restaurants, grocery stores, hardware store, herbalist and a unique clothing consignment store that also sell works by local artisans. Our small cedar forest at the back of the home is magical and the views of surrounding mountains from the back deck and lower farm field are gorgeous. Guests are free to explore the 5-acre property, with obvious considerations for us and other residents/guests who are enjoying the property. We welcome your pets, just please let us know ahead of time so that we can prepare the space. The lower field is now a farm and we have a second vacation rental that is available in the summer called Ponderosa - it's a tiny canvas tent and is available year-round. You also have access to a washer and dryer as well as a clawfoot bathtub which are situated in a separate tiny building close by.
