A second-floor, bachelor suite a 10 minute walk to Winlaw and Slocan Valley rail trail wilderness corridor along the Slocan river! 45 minutes drive to Nelson or Castlegar and an hour to Red Mountain or Whitewater resorts. Slocan and Valhalla Wilderness Provincial Park 20 minutes away making it easy to adventure. Winlaw has all the amenities including: restaurant with patio, boutique clothing stores, organic grocery, gas station/liquor store, post office, hardware store, and bus stop. The suite is a flex space that has been completely redesigned (rustic modern) with new custom concrete countertop and island, a micro kitchen with an induction plate and multi-purpose microwave. It has with natural wood flooring and custom concrete bathroom floor and pan for the glass shower. Total interior space is about 375 square feet. The space is perfect for one or two people to use as a base for day trips and adventures. The natural clay walls maintain a comfortable year-round humidity and help with heating and cooling. Note that we try not to use harsh chemicals to clean the suite except for disinfection of high contact and hard surfaces. Natural products like vinegar and other biodegradable cleaners (Simple Green, ECOS detergent) are used whenever possible. Our housekeeper follows Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. This is a cute and convenient place to stay in the Slocan Valley with access to the rest of the West Kootenay region with modern amenities and comfort features like internet, tv, Netflix, an easy heating system, mini kitchen, and modern bathroom for a comfy, unique, safe, and relaxing getaway in the countryside.
