What a very special, gorgeous cottage to stay in. Julie and Gary have done everything meticulously as they have lovingly restored the stable. There are special little touches everywhere - beautiful linen on the comfortable bed, the fire laid ready to be lit, underfloor heating, warm towels, home made apricot jam and quince jelly along with sourdough bread, cheese and wine. The breakfast goodies in the fridge were yummy. Nothing has been overlooked. It was such a joy to walk in the garden and have Julie show us around. The cottage is in a great location to check out the Tamar Valley and local area. Communication leading up to our stay was really great. Thank you Julie and Gary for being such wonderful and welcoming hosts and for your kindness in letting us share your special cottage.

The stable was amazing. It was so interesting to see how the original old bits and pieces of wood etc were used designing a beautiful space to stay in. It had a comfortable sitting area and bed, functional kitchen with everything you needed and more and a lovely bathroom. I loved looking at all the special decorating touches around the place. The breakfast was really nice, delicious cereals, bread, jams, yogurt, stewed fruit and juice. And we enjoyed the bottle of wine and cheese that Julie had left us while sitting out in the beautiful garden. Julie and Garry made us feel so welcome into their home and we enjoyed talking about the history of the area. I can’t recommend this beautiful place enough and hope we can get back again soon. Goodlands is a magnificently restored piece of Tasmania's history that is now a wonderful luxury cottage. Its set in beautiful cold climate gardens. All the mod cons have been incorporated into the cottage plus a very comfortable bed with quality linen and furnishings. Its a great base to explore the Tamar valley and the quaint villages nearby. Highly recommended!

The Stables is simply gorgeous! Everything you need, beautifully curated, sumptuous and elegant. The history and careful restoration is a credit to the lovely hosts. Julie is wonderful and generous in sharing her slice of perfection. It was so close to everything and we want to come back for the garden season to explore more. You will feel spoilt with your stay.

Thank you, your kindness, generosity and beautiful place exceeded our already high expectations. It was lovely to meet Julie and to stay in the luxurious, comfortable, beautiful, tasteful and generously provisioned stables. The garden is magnificent too and the apples from the tree and Julie's homemade apricot jam and quince jelly are delicious.
