This chalet is quite exquisite; a real one-of-a-kind. Beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It is right across the street from the lift station, ticket office and ski shop, but sufficiently high up that you don't have people walking right past your windows. There are gorgeous views of the Matterhorn. It is only a short walk into town for easy access to restaurants and the chalet manager is extremely helpful with making reservations and offering suggestions. Last year when we stayed, there was a private chef and I would definitely recommend asking for this add-on benefit: the food was always delicious and it takes all the stress out of a ski holiday if you don't have to worry about grocery shopping or cleaning up after dinner if you don't want to eat in restaurants every night. This is a truly luxurious chalet and I would stay there again in an instant! The hosts go out of their way to make sure that everything is perfect.

I've been coming to Zermatt for over 30 years and this is by FAR the best place I’ve stayed. What makes this chalet so special is the location- it’s just a 2 minute walk across the river to get to the Klein matterhorn lift that takes you to the glacier. Even better, Zen is at the end of the ski run down to Zermatt. There’s no better feeling than taking skis off at the end of the run, walking by the long line for bus and taxis knowing that in seconds I’ll be in the hot tub with a glass of champagne. Bonus from this stay was chef Coert, my favourite was the dover sole, veal chop and a decadent chocolate mousse. Kudos to Philippa who took such great care of us ensuring our transportation was seamless, mountain restaurants were booked and that we were well looked after. Looking forward to a return trip!
